dd-cli loginOn a Linux desktop with a Secret Service provider (GNOME Keyring, KWallet), this opens a browser and stores credentials the same way macOS does. On a headless Linux host (container, server, CI) with no browser or keyring available,
dd-cli logincan't complete — usedd-cli export-tokeninstead:dd-cli export-tokenRun this on a machine where you can sign in (your laptop, for example) — it opens the same browser sign-in as
dd-cli login, but instead of saving to a keychain, it prints a token to copy. Warnings go to stderr; the token itself is the only thing printed on stdout, so it's safe to capture directly:DD_CLI_ACCESS_TOKEN=$(dd-cli export-token)Set the resulting value as
DD_CLI_ACCESS_TOKENin the headless environment (your platform's secrets manager or environment-variable settings) — when set, it takes precedence over the keyring. Treat it like a password: it's a live token tied to your account until it expires (a few days), so never commit it, log it, or paste it into a shared message. On a minimal base image, also install its CA-certificates package (or setDD_CLI_CA_BUNDLEto a PEM bundle) so TLS to the service succeeds.
3. Try read-only commands
dd-cli order history --max 5 --beautify
dd-cli search --query "indian food"
dd-cli --json-output cart list
4. (Optional) Connect your agent
If you accepted the installer's skill prompt, a compatible terminal AI agent can discover DoorDash CLI automatically. Otherwise, copy skills/dd-cli-usage/SKILL.md from the release archive into the agent's skill directory.
Example request to give an agent:
Show my five most recent orders and tell me which can be reordered. Do not place an order.
Safe first steps
To try ordering without placing a real order:
dd-cli order history --max 5 --beautify
dd-cli order reorder --order-uuid <order-uuid>
dd-cli cart show --cart-uuid <cart-uuid>
dd-cli order preview --cart-uuid <cart-uuid> --beautify
dd-cli order checkout-url --cart-uuid <cart-uuid>
dd-cli cart delete --cart-uuid <cart-uuid>
order submit places a real order and charges your account. Only pass --yes after you've explicitly decided to place the order. See the command reference for the full command list.
