DoorDash CLI is a command-line interface for DoorDash ordering workflows, built for individuals — you can run it directly from your own terminal, or point a terminal-based AI agent at it so it can order on your behalf.

If you're building a product or internal tool that requires multiple people to have access. Use DoorDash MCP instead. DoorDash CLI is scoped to the signed-in individual running it.

What you can do

  • Search restaurants and retailers near you
  • Browse menus and items within a store
  • Build and inspect a cart, apply promotions, and preview pricing
  • Submit an order, check its status, fetch a receipt, and reorder from history
  • Manage saved delivery addresses and see saved payment methods

See Command reference for the full command list.

Why a CLI

DoorDash CLI is designed to be used two ways at once:

  • Directly by a person, typing commands in a terminal
  • By an AI agent with shell access, using the exact same commands a human would type

Every command supports a --json-output mode that returns the complete structured result for an agent to parse, and most support --beautify for a concise human-readable summary.
